On 4 May 2017, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 2,829 ordinary shares at a price of 229.25p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 8,299,071 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 95,284,131 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
