On 7 March 2017, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 118,212 ordinary shares at a price of 237.64p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 7,243,708 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 96,339,494 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
