On 19 July 2017, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 40,000 ordinary shares at a price of 235.5632p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 9,383,465 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 94,199,737 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
