Issuance of shares from Treasury - 8 October 2015

On 7 October 2015, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc ("the Company") issued 826,433 treasury shares at a price of 173.5p per share to Legg Mason, Inc., the ultimate parent company of the Company's investment manager through the market.  Legg Mason, Inc. also purchased an additional 90,000 ordinary shares through the market taking its holding in the Company to 916,433 ordinary shares.

Following this, the Company holds 1,967,401 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 101,615,801 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
