Issuance of shares from Treasury - 21 January 2016

On 20 January 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc ("the Company") issued 1,800,000 treasury shares at a price of 168p per share to Legg Mason, Inc., the ultimate parent company of the Company's investment manager through the market. 

Following this, the Company holds 2,172,970 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 101,410,232 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
