On 24 August 2005 Aberdeen Growth Opportunities VCT PLC purchased for
cancellation 21,830 of its own Ordinary shares at 77.25p per share.

Following the transaction the Company's issued share capital is 10,019,378
Ordinary shares of 10p each.
