                    ABERDEEN GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES VCT 2 PLC

                           Declaration of a dividend


The Directors of Aberdeen Growth Opportunities VCT 2 PLC are pleased to announce
that, as indicated in the interim report for the six months ended 30 June 2006,
a dividend of 2.0p per Ordinary Share will be paid on 30 October 2006 to those
holders of Ordinary Shares of 10p each in the capital of the Company who are on
the register of members of the Company as at 13 October 2006. The dividend
arises from capital gains made in the Ordinary Share portfolio.
