Investment Activity
Since the publication of the interim report in June 2005 a total of £2,218,000
has been invested which is made up of fourteen new and one follow-on investment.
The following fourteen new investments were made at a total cost of £2,201,000 :
Astraeus Aviation Solutions Limited (November 2005) - £250,000. Based at Gatwick
Airport, Astraeus Aviation Solutions provides commercial pilot training services
and is licensed by the UK Civil Aviation Authority to train pilots to fly a
number of aircraft types.
AT Communications Group plc (*) (November 2005) - £140,000. Based in Harlow,
Essex. AT Communications Group is a leading communications integrator to small
and medium-sized companies, providing service, installation and maintenance for
voice, data, mobile and converged networks.
Avanti Screenmedia plc (*) (November 2005) - £100,000. Based in London, Avanti
Screenmedia is provider of screens and media advertising content to retailers,
pubs, clubs and leisure facilities.
Chiltern (UK) Limited (November 2005) - £225,000. Based in Altrincham, Chiltern
provides debt management services and negotiates and manages standstill
agreements and repayment plans for credit card holders who can't service their
debts.
Datong Electronics plc (*) (October 2005) - £163,000. Based in Leeds, Datong is
a producer of devices that enable government intelligence and defence agencies
covertly to track vehicles and mobile phones.
Elam-T 2 Limited (August 2005) - £167,000. Elam-T 2 is a developer of flat panel
display technologies. These technologies are being adopted and evaluated by
original equipment manufacturers of displays for the consumer market.
Essential Viewing Systems Limited (August 2005) - £94,000. Essential Viewing
Systems Limited is a developer of an advanced delivery technology for video over
mobile telephones and the internet as well as conventional mediums such as
television.
Fieldstreet (Investments) Limited (October 2005) - £251,000. Fieldstreet, which
trades as Equity Insurance (formerly known as Cox Insurance) is a mid-sized
insurance business focused on predominately niche risk areas within motor
insurance. The business comprises a Lloyd's underwriting business (Syndicate
218), a broking business and a Lloyd's Managing Agent.
Imprint plc (*) (September 2005) - £151,000. Based in London, Imprint is a
provider of a comprehensive and results orientated search, selection and value
added human capital management services of the highest professional standards
within the critical hire, middle and senior management recruitment markets.
Kingsley Cards Limited (July 2005) - £200,000. Based in Skipton, Kingsley Cards
is engaged in the design and production of greeting cards, supplying a number of
the main high street retailers and trade distributors.
Litcomp plc (*) (October 2005) - £100,000. Based in Grantham, Lincolnshire,
Litcomp is a national supplier of medical reports in support of legal actions.
Neutrahealth plc (*) (August 2005) - £150,000. Based in Beaconsfield,
Buckinghamshire, Neutrahealth which trades as BioCare is a leading provider of
vitamins, mineral supplements, probiotics and other food supplements to health
practitioners and specialist retailers.
United Clearing plc (*) (August 2005) - £60,000. Based in London, United
Clearing, is a support services company which provides software based solutions
to mobile communications operators. It offers a financial clearing service which
provides settlement of international roaming traffic.
Vibration Technology Limited (September 2005) - £150,000. Based in Larbert,
Vibration Technology is a developer of a lightweight, cable-free, seismic
acquisition system for use in land seismic surveys.
