AGM ANNOUNCEMENT


McBride PLC will make the following statement at today's AGM:


'Trading since the year end has been in line with our expectations and
consistent with performance in the second half of last year.  Initiatives to
improve competitiveness, which were announced last year, are progressing
according to plan.


'However, market conditions remain very competitive with many raw material costs
at historic highs. We therefore remain fully focused on developing options to
further improve the cost base particularly of our Continental European 
business.'
