                                 AGM Statement

At  today's Annual General Meeting of McBride plc, the Chairman, Lord Sheppard
said:

'Trading  in  the  current  financial  year  is  fully  in  line  with  market
expectations.

McBride's  strategy  of  product  improvement and  innovation,  together  with
geographical and product range expansion is working well.

Entry  into  the airfreshener sector with Globol, expansion in Eastern  Europe
and,  more  recently, entry into OTC pharmaceuticals with Wrafton Laboratories
are all providing exciting growth opportunities.

The  value  for money and high technical standards of McBride's household  and
personal care retailer own label products is increasingly being recognised  in
the market place.'
