In compliance with rule LR 9.6.14 of the Financial Services Authority Listing Rules, McBride Plc announces that it has been informed that its Senior Independent Non-Executive Director, Mr C D Smith, will be appointed as a Non-Executive Director to the Board of Hilton Food Group plc with immediate effect from 1^st October 2010.

There have been no other changes to the information set out in LR 9.6.13R (2) to LR 9.6.13R (6) in respect of Mr Smith.
