McBride PLC ('the Company') today received notification from AMVESCAP PLC 
('AMVESCAP') pursuant to the provisions of Section 198 of the Companies Act 1985
(the 'Act') that following the sale of 367,510 Ordinary shares on 2 February
2004, INVESCO UK ICVC Series is the beneficial owner of 24,749,829 Ordinary
shares of 10p each, this representing 13.93% of the issued share capital of the
Company.  The shares are registered in the name of Vidacos Nominees Limited.
