Section 198 of the Companies Act 1985
McBride PLC ('the Company') were advised on 30th November 2006 pursuant to
Section 198 of the Companies Act 1985, that following the In Specie Transfer in
of 203,225 shares on 28 November 2006, AMVESCAP PLC (AMVESCAP) and subsidiary
companies on behalf of discretionary clients were interested in 35,720,569
ordinary shares in the Company representing 20.11% of it's issued ordinary share
capital. These are held as follows:
Bank of Ireland (Dublin) 529,440
Chase Nominees 742,371
Vidacos 30,998,032
HSBC Bank Plc (London) 107,121
Northern Trust Company (London) 290,000
State Street Trust & Banking Co (London) 3,053,605
Included within this holding, INVESCO Perpetual UK ICVC Series (UKICVC) holds
25,644,902 shares representing 14.43% of the issued ordinary share capital,
these are registered in the name of Vidacos Nominees Limited.
