Board Announcement

Following the preliminary results announcement made on 6th September, McBride
plc confirms that Alan Washkowitz, the Lehman-nominated Director retired from
the Board at the Annual General Meeting.

Alan, who has been a non-executive since the MBI of the company in July 1993,
has decided to concentrate on his other commitments in the United States. He
has made a significant contribution to the Board of McBride and the directors
wish him well in the future.
