McBride PLC ('the Company') announces that on 16 October 2007, it purchased
through Dresdner Kleinwort 150,000 of its ordinary shares at 187.593p per share.
The Company intends to hold these shares in treasury.

Following the purchase of these shares, McBride plc holds 752,019 ordinary
shares in treasury and has a total of 180,219,854 ordinary shares (excluding
treasury shares) in issue.
