Transfer of shares out of Treasury

McBride plc ("the Company") announces that on 27 May 2011 it transferred 6,717 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company for the purpose of meeting SAYE options that were exercised early.

Transfer of shares into Treasury

The Company also announces that on 27 May 2011 it purchased, through Investec, 80,000 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company at an average price of 154.15 pence per share.  The Company will hold the shares in Treasury to meet options under the McBride plc Savings Related Share Option Scheme to be exercised in 2012.

Following the above transactions the Company now holds 890,878 shares in Treasury and has a total of 180,149,423 ordinary shares (excluding treasury shares) in issue.
