Transfer of shares into Treasury

The Company also announces that on 8 June 2011 it purchased, through Investec, 100,000 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company at an average price of 147.885 pence per share.  The highest price paid was 148 pence per share and the lowest price paid was 147 pence per share.  The Company will hold the shares in Treasury to meet options under the McBride plc Savings Related Share Option Scheme to be exercised in 2012.

Following the above transactions the Company now holds 990,878 shares in Treasury and has a total of 180,049,423 ordinary shares (excluding treasury shares) in issue.
