NOTIFICATION OF CHANGE IN SHARE INTERESTS OF A DIRECTOR

We advise that on 7th February 2000 a Director, Mr Peter Denis Berridge,
exercised his Option (granted January 1995) to purchase 169,050 Ordinary shares
of 0.5p each under the Rules of the Company's Share Option Schemes, at a price
of 46 pence per share.  Approval was given at a Board Meeting of the Company on
31st January 2000 and, accordingly, the Company's Registrars have been
instructed to allot and issue the shares.

Mr Berridge's interest is now 170,300 shares representing 0.047 per cent of the
Company's issued Ordinary shares.
