DKS 15 series minilabs awarded imaging industry's top prize
for an unprecedented third successive year
PMI's DKS 15 series minilabs, which benefit from PMI's patented MSB TM
(microlens sharpened beam) exposure system, have won, for an unprecedented third
successive year, the most prestigious accolade of the imaging industry.
This is the DIMA (Digital Imaging Marketing Association) Digital Printer
Shoot-Out in the digital minilab category at the imaging industry's main
gathering, the 2005 PMA (Photo Marketing Association) Convention and Trade Show
in Orlando, Florida this week.
In the 10 years of the DIMA awards, no other firm has won awards in even two
successive years.
PMI's DKS 1510 minilab won the award for 8 inch prints, whilst PMI's System 89
minilab (manufactured for Kodak to market and including Kodak software) won the
award for 10 inch prints - the only two categories for which PMI's equipment was
entered.
The awards are a result of votes by trade attendees - photographers,
professionals in the field of photographic printing, and journalists - on the
overall quality and colour accuracy of digital prints submitted anonymously to
their judgement. PMI beat competition from major imaging companies, such as
Fuji, Noritsu and AGFA.
Serge Crasnianski, CEO of PMI, said 'Winning the top industry award for quality
and colour accuracy in an unprecedented three successive years is a massive
accolade for PMI's minilabs, all the more so as they are so competitively
priced.'
