DKS 15 series minilabs awarded imaging industry's top prize
for an unprecedented fourth successive year
PMI's DKS 15 series minilabs, which benefit from PMI's patented MSB TM
(microlens sharpened beam) exposure system, have won, for an unprecedented
fourth successive year, the most prestigious accolade of the imaging industry.
This is the DIMA (Digital Imaging Marketing Association) Digital Printer
Shoot-Out in the digital minilab category at the imaging industry's main
gathering, the 2006 PMA (Photo Marketing Association) Convention and Trade Show
in Orlando, Florida this week.
PMI's DKS 1510 minilab won the award in the important up-to-8-inches-wide
category, as it did in 2005.
The awards are a result of votes by trade attendees - photographers,
professionals in the field of photographic printing, and journalists - on the
overall quality and colour accuracy of digital prints submitted anonymously to
their judgement. PMI beat competition from major imaging companies, such as Fuji
and Noritsu.
Serge Crasnianski, CEO of PMI, said 'Winning the top industry award for quality
and colour accuracy in an unprecedented four successive years is a huge accolade
for PMI's minilabs, all the more so as they are so competitively priced.'
Notes for Editors:
PMI is a specialist digital imaging company focused on professional laboratories
and end-consumer vending solutions. PMI has developed a unique range of digital
professional processing laboratories (minilabs and central labs) and a suite of
consumer vending digital imaging solutions. PMI's minilabs have been developed
by PMI's R&D department in Grenoble, France and are currently manufactured under
sub-contract in Poland.
Typically, minilabs are sited in specialist photographic outlets, supermarkets
and pharmacies. In November 2005, PMI signed an exclusive agreement for the
supply of digital minilabs in calendar 2006 with CVS, the largest retail
pharmacy chain in the USA.
PMI is a constituent of the FTSE-250 index and trades under the ticker PHTM.L.
At yesterday's closing share price of 99p, PMI's market capitalisation stood at
£362m.
