PMI Signs Contract with Tesco for 165 Digital Minilabs
PMI, the digital imaging company, announces that it has won a tender to sell 165
of its award-winning DKS 1550 minilabs to Tesco. It is expected that over
one-half of the minilabs will be delivered in PMI's current financial year
ending 30 April 2005.
Serge Crasnianski, CEO, stated: 'We are delighted that the UK's number one
supermarket has chosen PMI as its digital minilab supplier. It builds on the
good relationship that Tesco and PMI have developed over the years in connection
with photobooths and recognises the high quality of its equipment, as well as
the excellence of PMI's service infrastructure, provided through over 250
personnel nationwide. As photography moves inexorably from conventional film to
digital media, there is a huge opportunity for retailers, and Tesco's decision
is a vote of confidence in both the market and PMI.'
Notes for Editors:
In February 2004, the DKS 1550 minilab (which has an output of up to 1,500
prints per hour from both digital and analogue media) was awarded the
industry-leading DIMA minilab prize at the PMA Convention and Trade Show in Las
Vegas, uniquely for the second successive year.
