                            Retirement of a Director


At PMI's AGM earlier this afternoon, the retirement of a non-executive Director,
Peter Ogborne, 56, was announced.


Dan David, Chairman, thanked Peter Ogborne for his significant contribution to
the Group over the last 31 years. Mr Ogborne served as a Director since 1992
and, until his retirement from his executive duties in July 2002, for many years
managed the UK Operations Division and was also involved in the supervision of
many overseas Operations.


In the last month, following the resignation of another non-executive Director,
Philippe Wahl, the number of non-independent non-executive Directors of PMI has
reduced by two.
