Statement re Press Report


Further to a report in the Financial Mail on Sunday of 7 September 2003, Dan
David, non-executive Chairman, on his recent return from holiday, has informed
the Company that the Dan David Foundation, which holds the beneficial interest
in his holding comprising 65,787,310 shares (18.1% of PMI's issued share
capital), has no intention at present of selling the holding. In addition, PMI
has never stated that the Foundation has a definite intention to sell.
