      PHOTO-ME HIRES SALOMON TO EXPLORE STRATEGIC OPTIONS
                               
The  Board  of  Directors of Photo-Me International  plc,  the
world leader in operating photobooths and a major manufacturer
of  photographic  mini-labs, announces  that  it  has  engaged
Salomon  Smith  Barney  to review a wide  range  of  strategic
options.

Serge  Crasnianski,  Chief Executive  Officer,  commented  'In
recent  months, we have received approaches from a  number  of
corporations  interested  both in  our  advanced  digital  and
Internet technologies and in our network of some 25,000  prime
locations    regarding   a   range   of   possible   strategic
transactions.

The Company's Board of Directors has decided, in the light  of
these  approaches,  that it is appropriate  to  formalise  the
process  of  exploring all our strategic options in  order  to
maximise  shareholder value.  I am excited about  the  Group's
future development.'
