Update on possible disposal
In January 2002, PMI reiterated its determination to look for ways to optimise
shareholder value, in particular through the possible disposal of the Group's
Operating business in certain territories.
PMI now reports that this option is no longer being pursued. The Board remains
committed to delivering shareholder value and is concentrating its efforts on
improving the Group's Operating business and further developing the Group's
Manufacturing activities, where its DKS 2 minilab is expected to enter volume
production in September 2002.
Notes for editors:
PMI is the world's leading operator of photobooths, with some 20,000 photobooths
and some 5,000 other Operating sites in a total of 16 territories worldwide. Its
three major Operating territories are the UK, France and Japan, in all of which
it continues to enjoy the leading market position in photobooths.
PMI's Manufacturing business, which is based in Grenoble in South East France,
principally comprises the manufacture of digital photoprocessing minilabs, for
operation by third parties.
