Mears Group PLC ('Mears' or the 'Company')
The Company announces today that it has made an application to the London Stock
Exchange for the admission of 109,624 new ordinary shares in the Company to be
issued to trading on AIM. This figure represents the number of Mears shares due
to Careforce's shareholders who had validly accepted the share offer by 1.00
p.m. on 8 June 2007, being the closing date for acceptances of the offer, and
the number of Mears shares allotted pursuant to the compulsory acquisition of
shares made in accordance with the procedure set out in sections 428 to 430F
(inclusive) of the Companies Act.
The new ordinary shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing
shares in issue. Admission of such shares to trading on AIM is expected to take
place on 15 June 2007.
