Board appointment
Mears Group PLC (LSE: MER), the provider of support services to the social housing and care sectors in the UK, announces the appointment of Angela Lockwood as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 January 2022.
Angela is currently Chief Executive Officer of North Star Housing, a thriving Housing Association based in the North East. Angela has extensive experience gained from a career in housing spanning nearly 30 years. Starting her career at Sunderland Council, Angela then worked for Home Housing and subsequently joined Endeavour Housing Association firstly as Housing Director and then Managing Director. She joined North Star in 2009.
Angela holds an MBA and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
Angela is also a Board member of the Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust, a member of the National Housing Federation Board and a Vice President of the Institute of Customer Service.
