The Company was informed yesterday that on 18 March 2008, Michael Macario,
non-executive director of Mears, sold 100,000 ordinary shares of 1 penny each at
an average price of 281 pence per share. Following this disposal, Mr Macario has
no interest in the ordinary shares of the Company
