Mears Group PLC - Additional shares and Director's holding
On 14 May 2002, David Robertson, a director of the Company exercised options
over 100,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company at a price of 11.75p per
share. Following this exercise of options under the Company Executive Share
Options Scheme, Mr Robertson holds 300,000 ordinary shares representing 0.53 per
cent. of the Company's enlarged issued share capital.
At the same time, the Company has also issued 105,000 new ordinary shares of 1p
each pursuant to exercise by an employee of options under the Company Executive
Share Options Scheme.
Finally, Mears Group has issued 361,254 ordinary shares as part of an earnout
arrangement in respect of its minority interest in Mears Building Services
Limited.
Application has been made to admit these shares to trading on the Alternative
Investment Market. It is expected that admission of these new 566,254 ordinary
shares, which will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing ordinary
shares, will become effective on 27 May 2002.
