New Partnership Deals and Trading Outlook
Mears Group PLC is pleased to announce two further partnership deals.
Mears has been awarded a 5 year housing maintenance partnership by Cross Keys
Homes to provide strategic repairs and Decent Homes improvements in the
Peterborough area. The contract is valued at £25 million over 5 years and
commences in January 2005.
Mears has also been selected as a partner by Your Homes Newcastle to deliver
improvements to the City's 32,000 social houses under the Decent Homes
Initiative. The total programme is estimated to be £500million over 6 years,
with Mears share being some £60million, and begins in early 2005.
The Group's order book is now in excess of £800m and extends to 2019.
Commenting on the news, Bob Holt Chairman of Mears said 'These awards
demonstrate the leadership position of Mears in the Social Housing sector. We
look forward to working with Cross Keys Homes and Your Homes Newcastle in long
term partnerships and to further extending the Group's order book and customer
base. The Group's continuing profitable growth is backed by a sound balance
sheet and strong cash flow.
