             MCINERNEY HOLDINGS PLC APPOINTS NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

                     Oliver O'Mahony Joins McInerney Board.





McInerney Holdings plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Oliver O'Mahony
as a non-Executive Director to its Board with immediate effect.  Mr O'Mahony is
a financial accountant with 35 years experience in the Irish and UK construction
sectors.



Mr O'Mahony (59), is the former Chief Executive of the Cork based Bowen Group
having joined the company in 1973 as Financial Controller. He held the position
of CEO from 1985-1998. He is also a Past President of the Construction Industry
Federation. He is a non-executive director of a number of other companies
including Victoria Hall Ltd which is involved in the development and management
of student accommodation in the UK. Mr O'Mahony has extensive commercial
interests in retail property and student accommodation in Ireland and the UK.



Announcing the appointment, Mr Barry O'Connor, Managing Director, McInerney
Holdings plc stated:
