               McNAMARA RETIRES FROM MCINERNEY HOLDINGS PLC BOARD


McInerney Holdings plc today announces that Mr Joe McNamara, having served with
the Group for almost 42 years, has retired as Managing Director of McInerney
Construction Ltd*.  On his retirement, Mr McNamara is also relinquishing his
position on the Board of McInerney Holdings plc. Mr McNamara was first appointed
to the Board in 1997.

The Group also announces that Mr Tommy Drumm is taking up the position of
Managing Director of McInerney Construction Ltd with immediate effect. Mr Drumm
has worked with the Group for 20 years having held a number of senior management
positions in Ireland, the Middle East and Iberia. His most recent position being
that of Director for Leinster, with McInerney Construction Ltd.  Mr Drumm is a
Chartered Civil Engineer.
