Mercury is pleased to announce that, on 15 August 2006, James William Lugg, aged
45, joined the Board as Acting Chief Executive Officer. He has over twenty
years' experience in the property sector, including facilities management
companies, and his experience should enable him to make an important
contribution to the recovery and future development of the Group.


Mercury also announces that as of 15 August 2006, Stephen Russell has resigned
from being a non-executive director of the Company.


In respect of James Lugg, the following information falls to be disclosed under
paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 of the AIM rules.


His current directorships comprise:


Jubilee Fire and Security Limited

Barrington Black Limited (property company)

Venture International FM Limited (consultancy company)

Jubilee Network Solutions Limited

Network Recruitment.com Limited.

Energy Technique Plc


During the last five years he has ceased to be a director of Folio UK Limited, a
Facilities Management business.


There are no other matters required to be disclosed under Schedule 2 paragraph
(g) of the AIM rules.
