UPDATED RULE 2.10 DISCLOSURE

In accordance with Rule 2.10 of the Code, Melrose confirms that its current issued share capital at 8 a.m. on 9 August 2011 consists of 390,961,043 ordinary shares of 14/55 pence each, 50,000 2009 Incentive Shares of GBP1 each and 497,586,779 C shares of 75 pence each.
