TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS

In accordance with Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1 the Company hereby notifies the market that as at 1 August 2012, the Company had in issue 1,266,627,036 ordinary shares of ¹⁴/₅₅ pence each (each an "Ordinary Share").  Each Ordinary Share carries a single vote at a general meeting of the Company.

The Company holds no Ordinary Shares in treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company as at 1 August 2011 is 1,266,627,036.

The above figure (1,266,627,036) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
