VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL

JPMORGAN FLEMING MERCANTILE INVESTMENT TRUST PLC


In conformity with the Transparency Directive, we would like to notify the
market of the following:



As at 31st December 2007, JPMorgan Fleming Mercantile Investment Trust plc's
issued share capital consisted of 104,880,528 ordinary 25 pence shares with
voting rights.  JPMorgan Fleming Mercantile Investment Trust plc does not hold
any shares in treasury.



Therefore, the total number of voting rights in JPMorgan Fleming Mercantile
Investment Trust plc as at 31st December 2007 was 104,880,528.



The above figure (104,880,528) may be used by shareholders as the denominator
for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, JPMorgan Fleming Mercantile
Investment Trust plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
