In conformity with the Transparency Directive, the Company would like to notify the market of the following:

As at 29th July 2016, The Mercantile Investment Trust plc's issued share capital consists of 94,449,218 Ordinary 25 pence shares with voting rights. The Company holds 550,000 Ordinary shares in Treasury.

Therefore, as at 29th July 2016, the total number of voting rights in The Mercantile Investment Trust plc is 93,899,218.

The above figure (93,899,218) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, The Mercantile Investment Trust plc under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
