Date of Annual Results and Restructuring Update


The Board of Montpellier is pleased to announce that as part of its ongoing
review of activities it is progressing a restructuring of the business.  In line
with the Board's strategy of becoming a specialist construction business the
Group will focus on three strong market sectors: Social Housing, Brownfield
Regeneration and Building in Partnership.

This new focus necessitates certain structural changes: Allenbuild Limited's
businesses have been combined and will be managed as a national contractor
delivering services through its four regional offices.  YJL Construction's
existing contracts will be managed through to completion, with key members of
its staff being redeployed into the Group's southern building businesses.   This
will result in a significant reduction in Group operating costs.

Montpellier will be reporting in greater detail on its restructuring when it
releases preliminary results for the year ended 30 September 2004 on Thursday 16
December.
