THE MERCHANTS TRUST PLC-VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL

The following replaces "Issue of Equity" announcement released on Tuesday 30 September 2014 at 16.00 under RNS Number 0590T.

The total number of voting rights is 107,016,464 not 106,916,464 as previously stated. This is due to a further issue of shares after the previous total voting rights announcement was released.

In accordance with its obligations under rule 5.6.1 of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules, we would like to notify the market of the following:
