Dods (Group) PLC
Civil Service Training / Acquisition of De Havilland / Preliminary Announcement / Directorship Change
Civil Service Training
Dods (Group) plc, (LSE: DODS, "Dods" or "the Group"), a leading supplier of policy and other training to the UK Civil Service, notes the confirmation that a Prime contractor has been selected by Civil Service Learning to manage the provision of common curriculum training across the Civil Service.
Dods can confirm that it has a relationship, established during the bidding process, with the winning Prime contractor and that it has been officially appointed as the subcontractor of Policy training and modules from the programme known as "How to be a civil servant"
No estimate of the financial effect of this on the results of the Group are possible at this time, pending the formulation and roll out of the new training, but this is expected to result in the Training business providing the fastest organically growing part of the Group in 2012. Further announcements will be made when appropriate.
Outside of the Civil Service Learning contract, Dods has recently won a contract from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office for the provision of EU Skills training for an initial term of 2 years with an option for a further 2 years. This contract is worth £80,000 per year.
Acquisition of De Havilland and Preliminary Announcement
Discussions with the OFT continue with regard to the acquisition of DeHavilland. Dods has requested a minimal extension to the clearance deadline to enable the provision of requested market data and expects a decision early in May, at which time the Preliminary Announcement of the results of the Group for the year ended 31st December 2011 will be announced.
