                            APPOINTMENT OF AUDITORS


Mid Wynd International Investment Trust PLC today announces that it has now
appointed Scott-Moncrieff as its auditors, in place of Ernst & Young LLP, for
the year ending 30 June 2002.


This  follows a formal review process by the audit committee, where the services
offered by a number of leading accountancy firms were considered.


During its tenure as independent auditors, Ernst & Young has provided a quality
service and has demonstrated a high level of professionalism.
