                    YooMedia plc ('YooMedia' or 'the Company')

                                   Placing

The Company is pleased to announce that it has conditionally raised £700,000
(gross) through a placing of 35,000,000  new ordinary shares of 1p each with an
existing institutional shareholder at 2p per share.  As part of the placing, the
placee will receive warrants to subscribe for 3,900,000 new ordinary shares at
1.75p per share, exerciseable at any  time until three years from issue.  The
net funds raised will provide additional working capital.

Application has been made for the admission of the 35,000,000 ordinary shares of
1p each to trading on AIM and  admission is expected to be effective on 6
September 2006.
