                         APPOINTMENT OF NEW DIRECTOR

E-district.net plc, a leading provider of global interactive entertainment
services and related applications, announces the appointment, on 12 November
2001, of Michael Sinclair as Executive Chairman and a member of the Board.
Frank Lewis, previously Executive Chairman, will take up the position of
Executive Deputy Chairman.

Commenting on his appointment, Michael Sinclair said: 'E-district has had a
troubled year, but it remains the leading UK provider of games, chat and other
community services for the interactive TV (iTV) market. iTV is a medium with
enormous potential, but like many new technologies it has been pregnant for a
long time. Only those providers in the sector with stamina will survive to
witness the ultimate birth and benefit from future growth. The e-district
Board, and, in particular, executive directors Frank Lewis and Eddie Abrams,
deserve great credit for sustaining the company and the business during the
recent difficulties. However, I believe that the firm is now ready for a new
start under a reorganised Board, and I look forward to working with the
company to achieve this.'

Michael. His strong track record and enthusiasm for the interactive TV sector
