Commentary
- Traffic growth, in terms of total page impressions, has
accelerated significantly in the second quarter to
10.4% monthly compound (quarter to March 2000: 6.3%),
demonstratingimproved 'stickiness'.
- With 2.1 million registered users (March 2000: 1.8 million),
e-district's LeisureDistrict.net remains one of the most
heavily accessed UK-based interactive family entertainment
and community channels.
- 'Churn' rate remains negligible. Attrition (as measured by
the removal of registered users who have not accessed
LeisureDistrict for more than four months) continues to be
extremely low at less than 0.2% per month of total
registered users.
- Gender analysis data is not available for 1999.
Steve Laitman, Chief Executive commented :
'We are thrilled to report fantastic growth figures for the
second quarter of 2000 with total page impressions 138% above
those at this time last year. This quarter has again seen
agreements with some major internet players such as Freeserve
Plc, Telewest Communications Plc, Engage Inc. and Liberate
Technologies among others. The growing demand for e-district's
interactive community channel and the development of
advertising and e-commerce partnerships are beyond those that
even we had envisaged at this stage.
There is clearly huge further potential within these areas
and the increased awareness and audience reach that e-
district's entertainment channel is achieving through these
alliances is incredibly encouraging.'
