E-DISTRICT EXTENDS AGREEMENT WITH TELEWEST
e-district.net plc, the interactive TV entertainment company, announced today
the signature of a new agreement with Telewest. Under the terms of the new
agreement, e-district will launch a series of original and licensed
pay-per-play and subscription games over Telewest's digital TV network in the
coming months.
e-district will also extend and enhance the existing LeisureDistrict community
service, providing subscription-based chat and other messaging services.
Eddie Abrams, Director of e-district said:
'Ensuring distribution is in place across both major UK cable networks, is an
important step in the success of our forthcoming range of pay services,
including chat and premium games. Our extended partnership with Telewest will
enable us to consolidate our strong position in the supply of entertainment
services to the digital marketplace'.
