Commentary
* Rate of growth is running consistently at around 6% a month
in actual terms, or 99% on an annualised basis.
* With 1.81 million registered users, these figures show that
e-district's LeisureDistrict.net is one of the most heavily
accessed UK-based interactive family entertainment and
community channels.
* Churn' rate remains negligible. Attrition (as measured by
the removal of registered users who have not accessed
LeisureDistrict for more than four months) continues to run
at significantly below 0.05% per month of total registered
users.
* Gender analysis data is not available for 1999
Steve Laitman, Chief Executive commented :
'We are very pleased with the traffic figures for the first
quarter of 2000 which confirm the continuously growing demand
for e-district's interactive leisure content and potential for
developing advertising and e-commerce revenues. These
excellent figures do not yet reflect the important
distribution agreements signed with Worldgate in the US and
Cable & Wireless in the UK. We expect the number of
registered users to grow more quickly in the coming months
when these additional digital interactive TV subscribers are
able to access LeisureDistrict.'
Notes
1 Registered users : Those who, having entered
basic registration data and obtained a user ID
and password, have accessed LeisureDistrict
within the previous four months.
2 Active users : Registered users who have
accessed LeisureDistrict within the previous
month.
