Notification of transactions by

Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities ('PDMR')

Following the vesting of an award granted to Kevin Todd by the trustee of the Company's Employee Benefit Trust ('EBT'), 30,668 ordinary shares of 8 13/24p each in Mitchells & Butlers plc were released from the EBT to Kevin Todd today, 1 April 2010, for no consideration. Sufficient shares were sold on 1 April 2010 in respect of the income tax, National Insurance liability and dealing costs due in relation to this share release, as detailed below; the sale took place in London. The remainder of the released shares were transferred to Kevin Todd's wife, Denise Todd, on 1 April 2010.
