Directors' Interests
Following the separation of the retail and hotels businesses of Six Continents
PLC, Mitchells & Butlers plc ('MAB') has been notified that the InterContinental
Hotels Group Employee Share Ownership Trust (formerly the Six Continents
Employee Share Ownership Plan) (the 'Trust') sold 63,514 shares in MAB at 216p
per share and 850,000 shares at 213p per share on 28 May 2003. The balance of
MAB shares held by the Trust following the sale is 1,480,000 shares.
The Executive Directors of MAB (T Clarke, K Naffah, M Bramley and A Hughes), as
former employees of Six Continents PLC are deemed to be technically interested
in the above sale and the residual MAB shares held by the Trust.
