Board Appointment
Mitchells & Butlers is pleased to announce that Douglas E McMahon has today been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect, acting as a nominated shareholder representative of Piedmont Inc. (an investment vehicle of Joe Lewis). Piedmont Inc. owns 93,047,373 shares in the Company, representing 22.8% of the voting rights in issue. Mr McMahon will be the second nominated shareholder representative of Piedmont Inc.
Mitchells & Butlers confirms that there is no information about Mr McMahon requiring disclosure under paragraphs 9.6.13 (2) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
Mitchells & Butlers is also seeking to appoint an additional independent non executive director in due course.

Mr McMahon has two decades of marketing experience, previously serving as chairman and CEO of Publicis New York, and earlier as General Manager of J. Walter Thompson New York. Mr McMahon was also Chief Marketing Officer at Consumer News and Business Channel (CNBC). Mr McMahon previously served as a Director of the Company from 18 November to 2 December 2009. |
