Notice of General Meeting
On 20 August 2010 the Company announced that it had agreed to sell 333 pubs and certain associated assets to Stonegate Pub Company Limited for cash consideration of £373m (the 'Disposal'). The Disposal is conditional on the approval of the Company's shareholders. Mitchells & Butlers plc announces that a circular has today been posted to shareholders giving notice that a General Meeting will be held at The Institution of Engineering and Technology, Savoy Place, 2 Savoy Place, London WC2R 0BL on Tuesday 26 October 2010 at 2.30pm to seek shareholder approval for the Disposal. The circular which includes notice of the General Meeting is posted on the Company's website at www.mbplc.com/circular. In accordance with paragraph 9.6.1 of the FSA Listing Rules the circular and related form of proxy have been submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and will shortly be available for inspection at http://www.hemscott.com/nsm.do
